My father in law is awarded Elk of the Year from the Pearl City Elks Lodge #2669

We were proud to learn Eduardo (Ed) Menor was awarded "Elk Of The Year" from the Pearl City Elks Lodge #2669.

From the Elks Website:

You may be asking yourself - "Self? What are Elks?" We are a very American organization providing services to our youth through programs that support such groups as Special Olympics and Boy Scouts, we coordinate the Elks National Hoop Shoot program with the Department of Parks and Recreation and work with schools promoting our Drug Awareness and Americanism programs.

We are Americans, proud of our country and its people. As such we are very active in recognizing and supporting our Veterans. We raise and appropriate funds for their support, collect donations from our members and the community to assist homeless Veterans and attempt in every way to repay them for their dedication to our Freedom. As Americans we also respect our beautiful flag, "Old Glory." Each Flag Day we honor our flag at a very emotional ceremony on board the USS Missouri, the "Mighty Mo," which is open to the public.

Other community involvement includes:
AMERICANISM ESSAY CONTEST - "What Freedom Means To Me.".
CALIFORNIA-HAWAII MAJOR PROJECT - The Major project "The Purple Pig," serves children from birth to 21 years of age with home-based occupational therapy, physical therapy ...
SPECIAL OLYMPICS HAWAII - Special Olympics was founded on the belief that people with intellectual disabilities can, with proper instruction and encouragement, learn, enjoy and ...
NATIONAL DRUG AWARENESS PROGRAM - Every year, the Elks Drug Awareness Program...
VETERANS SERVICES - The Pearl City Elks, have identified the homeless veterans at Kalaeloa as the major group of Veterans most in need that we can help..

Ed - Congratulations from your entire family!
