Halau O Na Pua Kukui at their FUN-draiser on October 3rd at Tiki’s Grill & Bar

Halau O Na Pua Kukui hosted their FUN-draiser on October 3rd, 2010 at Tiki’s Grill & Bar, from 1:00PM to 4:00PM. Over 350 guest attended. They enjoyed fantastic entertainment featuring Waipuna, Kupaoa, Holunape, and special guests, as well as ono-licious pupus, cool drink specials, raffle and silent auction.

This fundraiser will help the dancers of Halau O Na Pua Kukui who will be performing at the 2011 Merrie Monarch Festival in Hilo, Hawaii.

ZOOFARI 2010: This year, our annual “Zoofari” gala event is scheduled for October 2, 2010.  Experience an amazing African-themed party village created by Jon Staub, a first-ever live mosaic mural by artist Leah Rigg, and the unveiling of a piece of beloved Zoo history by artist, Kelly Sueda.  To be a part of this fantastic evening benefit that will support children’s programs, animal welfare, and exciting physical improvements to the Honolulu Zoo.

On 9/11/2010 Tiki's Grill & Bar offered a Free breakfast in Waikiki to the men and women of the Honolulu Fire Department, Honolulu Police Department, and Emergency Medical Services to honor the first responders and rescue personnel of our community and to honor the first responders of the September 11, 2001 bombing of the World Trade Center in New York City, many of whom lost their lives nine years ago to the day of this event.

It’s only been nine years since 9/11 and we’re afraid people are forgetting. We want people to remember and what better way than to honor Honolulu’s heroes?

A free breakfast buffet, live music, and “the appreciation of our community” to serve the men and women of HPD, HFD, and EMS.
